Hoang Anh Tuan, Vietnam
Hoang Anh Tuan is a Vietnamese weightlifter who won a silver medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and a gold medal at the Asian Championships. He was named Vietnam's Sportsman of the Year in 2008. Tuan went to primary school in Bac Ninh province in northern Vietnam and balanced schoolwork with helping out in his mother's butchers shop. He left school in 1999 to concentrate on weightlifting.
